The great show that goes on each day..
Ghalib says:
A playground of children is this world to me
A show is on day and night in front of me..
He saw right through this life and realized, that not much of it is real. A lot of it is action based on assumption of what may be or could be.. and thus the show. But how did he see right through this life? By accepting all the pain and misery it has to offer in one go. He took it all in within a few years. This is possible for anyone, if they would dare like Ghalib dared. The risk is only one, you will either conquer all fear and pain - or you will totally lose your mind. One who can write as did this great poet definitely has come to his senses, rather than lose them!
The prison of life and sadness and sorrow , are in fact one and the same..
Why then before death , shall humans be saved from sorrow?
He defines this life as a prison which restricts the flight of the soul and confines it, while death is the door that lets it out.
